The Crystal Method @ Beta

The Crystal Method played Beta Nightclub for the second time this year, once again playing to a packed house, which is no surprise. They ended their set with a track from their upcoming fourth studio album, which is set to drop some time in early 2009, so keep a look out for that. Now…if we could only just get them to start a ‘Live Show’ tour…
Rise Against w/ Alkaline Trio and Thrice @ The Fillmore

Rise Against front man Tim McIlrath bringing some hardcore punk to the Fillmore Auditorium. He was also kind enough to congratulate the crowd for making Colorado a Blue State and challenged them lyrically to a track off their first album, which from what I could tell, they passed with flying colors, singing along with Tim word-for-word.

Here is a mini-documentary from State Radio when they were in town for the DNC. A few of the Rage shots you see are from yours truly. Enjoy.
James Zabiela @ Beta Nightclub

James Zabiela has to be one of the most energetic DJ’s I’ve seen to date. The crowd definitely fed off his energy, as the guy literally did not stop moving his entire set. He also played Beta back-to-back nights. These shots are from round two. I’ve included a set of his from earlier in the year below…
Beastie Boys and Tenacious D @ The Fillmore

I’ve seen the Beastie Boys a hand full of times and despite them being, what over 60 years old now, they still put on a great show.
Can’t beat a Beasties video with some cowbell in it….
Pete Tong @ Beta Nightclub

Pete Tong, host of BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix Radio show, dropping by Beta Nightclub on Halloween night.
Kings of Leon @ The Fillmore

Kings of Leon front man Caleb Followill doing what he and his brothers, and I mean that literally, do best - southern/garage rock with a mix of blues.
Sasha @ Beta Nightclub

Last night was by FAR the best night I’ve had while shooting at Beta. I’ve been looking forward to seeing Sasha for quite awhile and he didn’t disappoint whatsoever. He started about a half hour early and played right up until close - then hung out and signed autographs for those that were handing him various items over the DJ booth glass. As far as the set goes, he had the whole floor moving the entire night, from beginning to end. There wasn’t a time during the whole set where I thought to myself, “Meh, I guess I’ll go get some crowd shots.” Someone even brought a homemade sign with ‘Sasha’ scribbled on it and they were waving it around like they were at a highschool pep rally. Good times, good times.
